Senior Credit & Collections Specialist Compensation
The pay for this position is $44.48 per hour .
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Senior Credit & Collections Specialist Highlights
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, standard business hours .
Senior Credit & Collections Specialist Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
- Initiate and manage collection activities including reminders, collection calls, and negotiating payment plans
- Communicate with customers regarding account status, discrepancies, and billing issue resolution
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable status, collection activities, and credit risks for management review
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit and collection activities
- Work with internal teams and customers to resolve payment disputes and discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company credit and collection policies and procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of collections processes
Senior Credit & Collections Specialist Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field required
- Minimum 5+ years experience in credit and collections or a similar role
- Strong understanding of credit and collections principles and practices
- Experience working with accounting software such as Great Plains
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Customer-service focused mindset and strong attention to detail
Senior Credit & Collections Specialist Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives within AR or collections environments
- Experience working in fast-paced corporate or shared-services finance environments
