Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Preparation of spreadsheets and profitability models
Preparation of cash flow analyses in a spreadsheet format
Assist Lenders prepare loan packages for Loan Committee, which may include the above components plus:
SBA Loan Request Reports & Loan modifications
Credit Investigations (Credit bureau)
Analytical essay which includes historical financial analysis of the existing/potential borrower and should cover the following topics:
Summary of background and operations
Management evaluation (ownership)
Industry and competition (Outside sources: Value Line, RMA, Bloomberg, S & P, IBIS World, CoStar)
Financial analysis (historical-profitability, cash flow, liquidity, capital resources, projections)
Other: Officer comments, collateral evaluation, recommendation to approve or decline with statement supporting recommendation; attend Loan Committee meetings
Tracking & updating loan exceptions.
Inputting credit documents for tracking
Processing credit reference requests.
Scan, index, and file credit documents in a back-up capacity for the department’s Administrative Assistant.
Order and review real estate appraisals.
Run various reports as needed in a back-up capacity
Interact positively with other departments and offices of Plains State Bank to achieve a teamwork environment by maintaining external and internal customer service.
Set personal goals and image that produces positive results for Plains State Bank.
Summary:
Work closely with the Credit Manager to underwrite and recommend disposition of credit requests of the Bank. Help train new credit analysts. Review financial and collateral data on existing borrowing relationships, analyzing risk factors for annual portfolio reviews. Develop skills and build a network in an energetic environment. Scrutinize financial data such as market share, income growth, and management quality to decide if loans will be lucrative.
