Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator with 7+ years of commercial interior estimating experience, specifically within office, retail, and restaurant/hospitality environments. This role is critical to the company’s ability to provide competitive, accurate pricing while maintaining the high level of quality and reliability that drives repeat client relationships.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative—someone who understands that interior construction is a service business and approaches estimating as both a technical and relationship-driven discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial interior projects, including office buildouts, retail spaces, and restaurant/hospitality interiors.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and pricing analysis from drawings, specifications, and conceptual design documents.
  • Develop and manage trade scope sheets, bid packages, and subcontractor solicitations.
  • Analyze subcontractor proposals for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project scope and schedule.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, operations, and business development teams to support preconstruction strategy and pricing approach.
  • Participate in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities while preserving design intent and quality.
  • Prepare and present conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimates with clarity and confidence.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local market conditions, subcontractor pricing trends, and material costs.
  • Support client presentations and assist in buyout and turnover to project teams.
  • Uphold our integrity, accountability, and client advocacy throughout the preconstruction process.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of estimating experience in commercial interior construction.
  • Proven background estimating office, retail, and restaurant/hospitality interior projects.
  • Strong understanding of interior trades including drywall, ceilings, flooring, millwork, MEP coordination, and specialty finishes.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard estimating tools and takeoff software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Excel).
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings at various levels of design development.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
