Client Details
My client is a construction company that specializes in managing and delivering residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects from initial planning through completion. The firm oversees labor, materials, budgets, and timelines to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and on‑schedule project execution.Description
• Oversee AP/AR functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor cost entry for timely payment processing* Conduct detailed job costing and financial tracking across multiple ongoing construction projects
* Monitor project backlog and support commission structure calculations and reporting
* Serve as a point of contact for client billing inquiries and collaborate closely with project managers
* Manage vendor rebate tracking and ensure all insurance certificates (COIs) are current and compliant
* Maintain accurate cost coding, allocations, and supporting documentation for all projects
* Assist with month-end close activities related to project financials and reporting
* Uphold strong internal controls and ensure financial accuracy across all project accounting workflows
* Utilize Sage Contractor 100 (preferred) and Procore to manage project financials, reporting, and documentation
Profile
• 5-7+ years of construction or project‑based accounting experience* Proven expertise in job costing and managing financials across multiple concurrent projects
* Hands-on experience with AP/AR, project billing, and revenue tracking processes
* Proficiency with project‑based accounting systems
* Sage Contractor 100 strongly preferred; Procore experience a plus
* Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, formulas, analysis tools)
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
