Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Own job cost accounting across active construction projects, including cost tracking, budget vs actual analysis, and variance explanations
  • Prepare and maintain WIP schedules, percent complete calculations, and revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
  • Support monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting related to construction operations
  • Partner closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost coding, forecasting, and margin visibility
  • Prepare internal financial reports supporting project performance, cash flow, and executive decision making
  • Assist with audits, reviews, and documentation related to construction accounting and revenue recognition
  • Maintain and improve accounting processes within Syspro to support scalability and reporting accuracy

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of construction accounting experience with hands on job costing and WIP exposure
  • Strong understanding of percentage of completion accounting and construction financial reporting
  • Experience working with ERP systems, Syspro experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with detailed financial data
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and operations teams
  • Detail oriented, accountable, and comfortable owning complex workstreams
