Overview:

The Commercial Financial Analyst Senior, partners with key commercial functions—Marketing, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Services—to deliver financial reporting, forecasting, and insights that drive revenue, enrollment, and program performance. This role develops financial models to assess lead efficiency, conversion rates, program mix, pricing, retention, and capacity utilization. By translating complex data into actionable recommendations, the analyst supports leaders in optimizing growth and improving ROI. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, clear communication with non-finance partners, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, enrollment‑driven environment.

Responsibilities:
Partner with Marketing and Admissions to evaluate lead flow, cost‑per‑start, conversion performance, and return on marketing spend across channels
 
Monitor enrollment trends daily/weekly; identify variances against forecast and recommend corrective actions
 
Support admissions staffing models, productivity analysis, and campus capacity planning
 
Analyze student retention and program progression trends and quantify financial impacts
 
Lead the development of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑range financial plans for commercial functions and assigned campuses/divisions
 
Prepare consolidated revenue and start forecasts, integrating marketing funnel metrics, conversion data, and operational constraints
 
Conduct detailed variance analysis, including revenue drivers, start/continuing student movements, tuition/aid impacts, and instructional cost structures
 
Develop dashboards and KPIs to track commercial performance, including lead demand generation, admissions productivity, campus and program performance, and student outcomes

Evaluate program‑level profitability (instructors, materials, clinical sites, facilities, and scheduling)
 
Develop dashboards and KPIs to track commercial performance, including lead demand generation, admissions productivity, campus performance, and student outcomes
 
Act as a subject matter expert on enterprise data sources including CRM, SIS, ERP, and marketing platforms
 
Lead efforts to reconcile and validate data between CRM, enrollment systems, and financial systems to ensure data integrity
 
Automate recurring reports and streamline data pipelines across finance, marketing, and operations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required)
 
Minimum three (3) years of experience in FP&A, with preference for roles supporting marketing, enrollment, sales, or commercial operations in education or similar industries (preferred)
 
Knowledge base and experience should include advanced analytical and modeling skills with ability to interpret large datasets from multiple systems (required)
 
Strong business partnering skills, especially with commercial leaders who use financial insights to drive operational decisions
 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts
 
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, modeling, scenario analysis) and strong skills in Power BI or similar BI tools (preferred)
 
Experience with CRM and ERP systems commonly used in education, including Salesforce, CampusNexus, Anthology, Banner, PeopleSoft, or OneStream (preferred)
