Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to, technology licenses, software agreements, vendor agreements, service agreements, and confidentiality agreements.

2. Providing advice and counsel to the business team on issues related to technology and licensing matters, including intellectual property, data security, privacy, and compliance matters.

3. Conducting legal research and analysis related to various commercial and regulatory issues.

4. Developing and implementing legal processes and policies to support the commercial team and other internal stakeholders.

5. Providing training to the business team on contract negotiation, legal risks, and other relevant legal issues.

6. Collaborating with other members of the legal team to support the overall goals of the department and the company.

7. Managing outside counsel relationships and ensuring cost-effective use of their services.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial counsel, preferably in the technology sector.

3. Strong experience in drafting and negotiating technology licenses and other commercial contracts.

4. Excellent knowledge of intellectual property law, data security, privacy, and compliance matters.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.

6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and understandable manner.

7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

9. Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the commercial and strategic aspects of the business.

10. Membership in good standing of a state bar.
