Job Title: Senior Clinical Research Coordinator (Temporary – 14 Weeks)

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Clinical Trial Operations, the Senior Clinical Research Coordinator (SCRC) manages and conducts the day-to-day operations of clinical research studies. This role works independently on complex research projects while ensuring all studies comply with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
The SCRC plays a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, coordinating research activities, managing study data, and supporting subject recruitment and follow-up. This position may also provide guidance and mentorship to junior research staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of assigned clinical research studies.
- Ensure studies are conducted in accordance with protocol, applicable regulations, GCP, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements.
- Support subject recruitment and enrollment, including screening, consenting support, and follow-up visits.
- Collect, review, and enter study data into study and site systems, including CTMS.
- Maintain accurate and organized regulatory documentation and electronic patient files.
- Provide protocol updates, amendments, and status reports to research staff for system entry and tracking.
- Coordinate communication with investigators, IRBs, sponsors, CROs, and regulatory authorities.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior research staff, including research assistants and volunteers.
- Collaborate with investigators to identify and recruit eligible patients for clinical trials.
- Follow established clinical research procedures and maintain compliance with SOPs, AAHRPP, HIPAA, and FDA guidelines.
- Work flexible or adjusted hours as needed to accommodate subject visits.
Minimum Qualifications
To perform this role successfully, candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of clinical research experience, OR
- Associate’s degree and 6 years of clinical research experience, OR
- 7 years of clinical research experience without a degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of clinical research experience
- Experience in pediatric clinical research in a hospital setting
- Experience with interventional clinical trials (PI-initiated, IND, and/or device trials) across multiple phases
- Clinical research certification (CCRC, CCRP, or CRA)
- IATA certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Strong communication skills with both pediatric and adult populations
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Experience working with clinical research software and systems (CTMS, databases, EMR systems)
- Knowledge of clinical trial protocols and regulatory processes
