Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Buyer / Planner to join our team. The Senior Buyer / Planner will be responsible for purchasing, analyzing historical data, and incorporating forecasts to develop accurate material planning. The Senior Buyer / Planner will oversee other critical areas such as capacity modeling for preventative maintenance plans, projects, issuing vendor PO’s and conducting localized bidding for scopes of work. This role will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, analytics, suppliers, finance and customers to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and business objectives. The candidate will need to excel in analytical thinking and problem-solving, capable of conducting thorough research and data analysis to drive informed decisions. Proactive and self-motivated, they need to possess strong time-management skills to meet tight deadlines and adapt flexibility to changing circumstances.
Compensation: $64,668.00/YR
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Shift: Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM EST

Responsibilities
- Developing a supply/demand forecast supported by finance, operations, treasury.
- Develops a distribution forecast based on execution strategy aligning to the Preventative Maintenance labor modeling & forecast.
- Develop and maintain procurement purchase plans, purchase orders and schedules to ensure timely availability and delivery of vendor execution and materials.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the forecast accuracy.
- Analyze inventory levels, schedules, and forecasts to determine procurement requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Resolve supply chain issues and manage risks related to procurement activities.
- Maintain and update procurement databases and enterprise resource planning (CMMS) systems.
- Identify and communicate potential risks or opportunities to business stakeholders based on demand forecast insights.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost management for internal labor optimization and external procurement planning activities.
- Develop and maintain demand analytics along with forecasts for all contracted services.
- Collaborate with operations and the business intelligence teams to gather demand information and incorporate it into planning perimeters.
- Monitor and analyze forecast accuracy and adjust as necessary to minimize forecast errors.
- Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between forecasts and installation schedules.
- Execute transition plans for new service introductions.
- Generate and manage the analytics around inventory levels for all field locations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- APICS Certified (CSCP/CPIM/CTSC)
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in demand/supply and generating a material forecast supported by purchase plans aligned with sales, engineering and finance.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical forecasting techniques.
- Proactive and self-motivated with effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience working with CMMS systems, Corrigo, Maximo, Coupa and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in Business (MBA)
- Lean Sixsigma Certification
- Experience of having built robust SIOP programs is a definite advantage.
- Experience managing monitoring transactional health.
- Experience managing and developing budgets and labor optimization.
