Duties

Herc Rentals Employee Services LLC seeks a Senior BI Data Scientist (Bonita Springs, FL) to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytical solutions. Analyze complex datasets to extract valuable insights, build predictive models, and inform strategic business decisions. Develop end-to-end MLOps pipeline, ensuring scalability, performance, and security of applications. Work on AI/ML projects focused on Telematics/IoT data inputs. Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business problems and communicate analytical solutions in business language. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, architectures, and project specifications. 10% domestic travel required.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field and 4 years of experience in data engineering, BI development, and machine learning (ML) models. Must have experience with: SQL and Data manipulation and analysis, including SQL optimization, stored procedure creation, and workflow automation; Python and/or ML platforms for model development and deployment; Libraries such as Teradataml, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, and Tensorflow; Developing predictive models and ML algorithms including Regression, Classification, Survival Analysis, Association analysis, and A/B testing; Building ETL and dashboards using Qlik Sense; Building and maintaining end-to-end MLOps lifecycle; Working with Cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP, and modern data architecture; Using databases like Teradata, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server; Performing data modelling and statistical analysis; Working knowledge of AI platforms and models; and Technical and functional documentation requirements elicitation with senior leadership. 10% domestic travel required.
