Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Product Owner to support platform and workflow-driven initiatives. This role requires a strong balance of technical understanding and stakeholder management, with the ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements and guide delivery teams through platform changes.
The ideal candidate is not a hands-on developer, but is technically fluent, comfortable discussing data, workflows, and system impacts, and capable of owning product direction in a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Product Owner for platform and workflow-related initiatives, owning the product backlog from intake through delivery.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership to understand requirements and define product priorities.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
- Manage and prioritize the backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivery timelines.
- Support and guide platform changes, enhancements, and workflow improvements.
- Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
- Ensure changes are well understood, documented, and communicated to impacted stakeholders.
- Use data and reporting to support prioritization, decision-making, and outcome measurement.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Product Manager, or similar role.
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex workflows and platform-driven products.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and align across multiple teams.
- Solid technical aptitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and architects.
- Basic to moderate SQL knowledge (ability to understand queries, data structures, and impacts—not hands-on development).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Capital Markets environments (e.g., trading, risk, settlements, pricing, post-trade, or related platforms).
- Experience working in large enterprise or financial services organizations.
- Familiarity with data platforms, reporting tools, or backend systems.
- Experience supporting platform modernization or system transformation initiatives.

- Platform and workflow changes are delivered smoothly with minimal rework.
