Our client, a global life sciences and manufacturing leader, is seeking a Senior Automation Support Engineer to join their team.
As a Senior Automation Support Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering & Automation organization, supporting plant operations, production engineering, and site automation teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly across technical and non‑technical teams, which will align successfully within the organization.

$60.00 – $71.43 per hour
What’s the Job?
- Provide advanced on‑site and remote support for industrial automation and control systems within a manufacturing environment
- Troubleshoot complex PLC, controls, and automation system issues to minimize downtime and improve system reliability
- Support the installation, startup, and commissioning of new automation equipment and systems
- Partner with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to align automation solutions with operational needs
- Train operators, technicians, and site personnel on automation systems, best practices, and safe operation
What’s Needed?
- 10+ years of experience supporting industrial automation systems in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong hands‑on experience with PLCs and control systems (Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell or similar platforms)
- Proven background in automation troubleshooting, commissioning, and production support
- Experience working directly on manufacturing floors and in production‑critical environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly
