We are on the hunt for a dynamic and insightful Senior Analyst / Manager for our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in the biotech industry. This is a unique opportunity that will allow you to leverage your financial acumen and strategic thinking skills to drive financial planning and decision-making processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in budgeting, R&D, accruals, reporting, and capital investments. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Analyst / Manager, FP&A, you will play a critical role in the financial management of our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
2. Partnering with the R&D team to evaluate and prioritize investments, track expenses, and ensure effective use of resources.
3. Managing the accruals process to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
4. Producing regular financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
5. Analyzing capital investment proposals and providing recommendations based on financial and strategic considerations.
6. Driving process improvements and implementing best practices in financial planning and analysis.
7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and guidance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Analyst / Manager, FP&A role should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the biotech industry.
3. Proven experience in budgeting, R&D, accruals, reporting, and capital investments.
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
5. Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
7. Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
8. Proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
