As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you’ll take ownership of high‑volume AP processing while serving as a key resource for vendor management, reconciliations, and compliance. The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will work closely with finance leadership and internal teams, providing structure, accuracy, and consistency within a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

• Process high‑volume invoices (approximately 500–700 weekly) across multiple entities with accuracy and timeliness as the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
• Lead vendor payment runs, reconcile vendor accounts, and resolve discrepancies while maintaining clean AP ledgers as the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
• Manage vendor onboarding and master data, including W‑9 collection and maintenance, as the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
• Oversee year‑end 1099 preparation and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting as the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
• Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries, mentor junior AP staff, and support audits, close activities, and process improvements as the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Qualifications for the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

• 4+ years of full‑cycle accounts payable experience in a high‑volume, multi‑entity environment
• Strong knowledge of W‑9 and 1099 requirements with proven reconciliation and variance‑tracking skills
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables); experience with Sampro or AS400 is a plus
