Job Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Analyst
- Prepare cost transfer entries on a monthly basis
- Participate in the monthly consolidated close, including extended work hours during close to meet deadlines
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare financial statements and related analyses
- Prepare account reconciliations for related accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Execute internal controls to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Support internal and external audits
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Strong project management skills - able to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Proficient with common PC software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Deltek Costpoint software experience
- Government contracting experience
