Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a mission‑driven non‑profit organization in the search for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This position will report directly to the Controller and play a critical role in managing day‑to‑day accounting operations using QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on non‑profit accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment. Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage full‑cycle accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations using QuickBooks Online
* Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and deposits
* Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
* Prepare and review monthly financial statements including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
* Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including accruals and adjusting entries
* Track restricted and unrestricted funds in accordance with non‑profit accounting standards
* Support budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, grant requirements, and non‑profit accounting regulations
* Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation for audits and reporting
* Coordinate with external auditors and assist during annual audit and tax preparation processes
* Provide financial support and reporting to internal stakeholders as needed
* Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements
