Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. About the Role

The Senior Accountant will have broad corporate accounting responsibilities including account analysis, reconciliations, technical accounting, and audit support. This position will work closely with the General Ledger team and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls.

This role also offers exposure to foreign currency accounting, hedge accounting, lease accounting, and tax support, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to deepen their technical accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis across a variety of balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Handle accounting related to foreign currency translation, hedge accounting, leases, intercompany transactions, and accruals
  • Administer and monitor the company’s foreign currency hedge program
  • Review and document lease agreements and ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Assist with external and internal audits, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation
  • Support financial reporting and disclosure schedules
  • Assist with income tax provision support and compliance schedules
  • Communicate with tax jurisdictions to support reporting and issue resolution
  • Document and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Lead or assist with special accounting and process improvement projects

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide backup support for fixed asset accounting
  • Assist with treasury-related activities, including cash reconciliation and banking administration
  • Support training and cross-training within the accounting team
  • Develop training materials and guidance for operational teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting
  • Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with internal controls and accounting processes
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Advanced Excel skills and SAP experience ideal

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field / CPA a plus
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
