Our client, a growing and well-established organization in the Fairfield County area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning key pieces of the close process, partnering with leadership, and contributing to process improvements within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules

• Analyze financial results and prepare variance analysis to support leadership in understanding operational performance

• Assist with financial statement preparation and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies

• Partner cross-functionally with departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational initiatives

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within accounting workflows

• Support audit requests and collaborate with external auditors during annual audits

• Assist with special projects, system implementations, and reporting enhancements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting experience or CPA a plus)

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
