A bit about us:
An established and growing commercial real estate management firm is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. Responsible for overseeing accurate and timely accounting activities in accordance with GAAP. This role requires strong analytical ability to resolve issues, support team members, and identify opportunities to improve processes through technology and efficient use of systems.
This is a hybrid position based in Alpharetta, GA.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly financial close for assigned portfolios, including reviewing transactions, preparing and reviewing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and producing financial reports.
- Calculate and review management and leasing fees as part of the close cycle.
- Maintain timely and professional communication with internal teams and external partners.
- Assist with the development and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate the setup and maintenance of bank accounts.
- Review tenant lease documentation when needed to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide support and guidance to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff.
- Assist with the preparation of annual property budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned.
- Work with development teams to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in the ERP system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- 2-3+ years of accounting experience required.
- Experience with MRI and AvidXchange is a plus.
- Real estate accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience with investment fund accounting or private equity transactions is a plus.
- Financial reporting experience is a plus.
