Our client, a leading organization in the Pharmaceuticals industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance department supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Nutley, NJ – in office 1 day a week
Pay Range: $45-50/HR W2
What's the Job?
- Support daily accounting operations, including preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including inventory-related accounts common in consumer goods operations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP standards
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation, and troubleshoot SAP issues as needed
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience working with SAP financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reconciliation processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support audit processes
