Kforce's client, a publicly traded entertainment company in NYC, is seeking a Senior Accountant. The role will be 4 days in the office & 1 day remote during non close, and 4 days remote the week of the month end close. This company offers opportunity to advance along with great benefits including including medical, dental, vision, life & disability coverage, and 401K and employer matching and a week off during the week of Christmas to New Years and a discretionary year end bonus. Responsible for:
  • Assist with monthly close, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and management reporting
  • Analyze actual results and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statement variance analyses versus Forecast, Budget and Prior Year
  • Liaise regularly with international Finance Directors on various accounting, reporting and/or planning matters
  • Assist in the preparation of various analytical reports and presentations for use by upper Management
  • Maintain corporate accounting policies and procedures manual
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls over the corporate accounting function
  • Assist in complying with requests from third-parties such as independent auditors and internal tax, legal and SOX departments
  • Other special projects

Requirements:

  • CPA or at least 2 parts passed
  • 2-3 years of national public accounting experience (in auditing)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with consolidation and financial reporting systems, particularly SAP BPC and/or OneStream is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
