Senior Accountant – Mostly Remote for DMV Candidates
About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is well-known non-profit who has been around for almost 100 years!
- Due to project, they are hiring a temporary Senior Accountant.
- Position is mostlyremote, candidates will have to go into the MD or DC office 1x per week.
- Pay: $39-41/hr depending on experience.
- Metro Accessible
- Duration: approx. 2-3 months
- Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p/9a-6p, 40 hour work week
Overview of the Senior Accountant role:
- Post journal entries to general ledger.
- General ledger accounting through month-end close.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Perform various account reconciliations.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
- Develop and document internal processes and workflow.
- Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
- 3-5 years’ experience is preferred
- Oracle Fusion experience is a plus
- Non-profit experience is a must
- Proficient in Excel is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
