About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to own core accounting operations with future opportunity for expanded responsibilities and career advancement. We are a dynamic, rapidly growing, medical device company traded on Nasdaq whose product is setting new standards of safety in stroke prevention. This role involves monthly account reconciliations, quarter-end close analysis, leading financial and SOX audits, and payroll processing, with limited dotted-line supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly/Quarterly close: accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, lease accounting, inventory, etc.
• Monthly account reconciliations and resolving reconciling items.
• Analysis of actual results vs. forecast, plan, and prior forecasts to support quarter-end close analysis, 10-Q/10-K filings, and budgeting/forecasting activities.
• Lead role for external financial and SOX audits, maintaining SOX documentation.
• Payroll processing, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Support of AP/AR, revenue processes, and inventory reconciliations.
• Assistance with ERP processes and improvements.
• Limited dotted-line supervision of accounting staff (AP/AR Specialist).
• Responsibility for Sales & Use Tax reports and filings.
• Management of the Annual Vendor Scrub process.
• Special financial projects and analysis as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with public-company/SOX exposure.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and payroll experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.
