Senior Accountant

Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Senior Accountant position. This position may be a contract-to-hire opportunity or direct-hire (depending on the client's needs) which is expected to be onsite in Lake Mary, FL.

Summary

This is a senior level accounting position who will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and driving accounting process improvements. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to strategic financial decisions while mentoring junior team members.

Job Responsibilities:

· Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

· Manage general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

· Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support tax filings.

· Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.

· Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to optimize efficiency.

· Collaborate with auditors during financial audits, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants and finance team members.

· Support financial planning and strategic initiatives with data-driven insights.

· Stay up-to-date on accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes.

Qualified candidates would have the following:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

· 8 - 10 years of accounting experience.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles.

· Proficiency in navigating accounting software.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and computer skills

· Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.

· ERP experience.
