Senior Accountant

We’re partnering with a publicly traded midstream energy organization for a Senior Accountant as the company continues to expand and strengthen its accounting and reporting functions.

As part of their ongoing growth and operational evolution, they are adding a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger activities, and process improvements across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both technical accounting and hands-on execution within the oil and gas / midstream sector.

What You’ll Do As a Senior Accountant:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage and perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support and actively participate in month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis to leadership
  • Assist with SEC reporting requirements, including 10-K and 10-Q filings
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations and internal stakeholders
  • Support external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
  • Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA or CPA - eligible strongly preferred
  • 3 - 6+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Oil and Gas or energy industry experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
