Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform month-end and year end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
  • Capitalization of inventory cost variances calculation
  • Calculating project revenue in accordance with POC revenue recognition pronouncement
  • Performing month-end close for equipment projects, plant operations and inventory
  • Monthly reporting upload to our corporate parent
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Analyzing and reporting project and operating cost variances
  • Maintaining and reporting sales order intake and backlog reports
  • Maintaining the integrity of our inventory costs
  • Performing specific cost analysis and searching out cost savings opportunities

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Accountant position, you must possess the following:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
3. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Accountant.
4. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Strong experience in analyzing cost variances, identifying key drivers, and providing management with a clear understanding of the cost dynamics of the business.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.), and experience with accounting software.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
8. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
