Absolutely — here’s the same posting, just reformatted so Responsibilities and Qualifications are clean, skimmable bullet points like your sample.
Cost Accountant / Sr. Accountant – Manufacturing | Profitable, Growth-Focused Company
Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 base + 6–10% profit sharing
Work Model: On-site | Northeast Iowa (within commuting distance of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls metro)
Why This Opportunity Stands Out:
This is a high-impact role within a stable, well-capitalized specialty manufacturing company that continues to grow and invest in its operations. The position offers strong partnership with plant leadership and direct visibility into how finance drives operational performance.
You’ll work closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to provide meaningful cost insights, improve processes, and influence decision-making at the plant level. It’s an excellent opportunity for either an experienced cost accountant or a strong senior accountant ready to step deeper into manufacturing finance.
The culture is collaborative, hands-on, and practical — ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the business rather than behind a desk all day.
Key Responsibilities for the Cost Accountant / Sr. Accountant:
• Partner with plant and operations leaders to analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins
• Own standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost control processes

• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory accuracy initiatives
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual standard cost updates
• Provide financial analysis and insights to cross-functional teams to support decision-making
• Identify opportunities to improve costing, reporting, and ERP processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements
Qualifications for the Cost Accountant / Sr. Accountant:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–7+ years of manufacturing accounting or cost accounting experience
– OR – strong senior G/L accounting experience with inventory and operational exposure
• Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory controls
• ERP system experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Ability to partner effectively with operations and communicate financial insights clearly
• Self-starter with a hands-on, collaborative approach
• Continuous improvement mindset with comfort working in an on-site plant environment
