Senior Accountant

- Track, record, and reconcile capital expenditures across assigned projects
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of project-related financial data within financial systems
- Perform budget-to-actual analysis and investigate project variances
- Support capital projects of varying size, scope, and duration, including long-term initiatives
- Monitor financial activity across multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities
- Process capital asset transactions, including additions, disposals, and transfers
- Maintain fixed asset records, including lifecycle tracking and depreciation
- Prepare and review capital and fixed asset reports, such as asset summaries, depreciation schedules, and project cost analyses
- Validate financial data through system reports and manual calculations when needed
- Support data reconciliation and cleanup following system conversions or data migrations
- Research and resolve complex discrepancies involving project, cost center, or asset data
- Collaborate with finance partners and stakeholders to communicate findings and resolve issues
- Contribute to process documentation and checklists for monthly and annual project monitoring
Requirements:
- Degree or formal background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with journal entries, month-end close, and financial reconciliations
- Exposure to capital accounting, project accounting, and/or fixed asset accounting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve non-routine issues
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Strong Excel skills for analysis and reconciliation
- Proficiency with standard office productivity tools
- Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
