We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and is driven by process improvement and problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
2. Performing month-end close activities, including preparation of various journal entries, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts.
3. Preparing detailed balance sheets and financial statements, including comprehensive analysis and interpretation of financial results.
4. Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements, while helping to streamline and improve our financial procedures.
5. Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
6. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
7. Participating in various department-wide initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, accruals, and balance sheets.
3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software and systems is a must.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
7. The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
