Self Pay Collections Representative

System One is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Self-Pay Collections Representative to join a reputable medical facility in Tulsa, OK. This role is responsible for managing self-pay patient accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances, and maintaining positive relationships with patients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling financial conversations while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and manage self-pay patient account balances
• Contact patients via phone, email, and mail regarding outstanding balances
• Collect payments and negotiate payment arrangements in accordance with company policies
• Escalate delinquent accounts to collections when appropriate
• Accurately update patient account information and payment activity in the system
• Respond to patient inquiries and clearly explain billing details and processes
• Collaborate with billing and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in medical billing or collections (self-pay experience preferred)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Proficiency with billing systems and Microsoft Office

Compensation:

• $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
• Contract to hire opportunity
