Position Overview

Visionmakers requires a Financial Controller who is as comfortable in the details of a project's bill of materials as they are in a high-level board meeting. You will be the sole architect of our financial health, responsible for everything from daily cash flow management to complex job costing for our custom stone and steel projects. This is a "roll-up-your-sleeves" role for a finance professional who loves the tangible nature of the architectural and construction industry.

Revised Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Execute all daily accounting tasks, including A/P, A/R, and payroll. This is a direct-execution role, not a supervisory-only role.
• Job Costing & WIP: Maintain "real-time" accuracy on Work in Progress (WIP) reports. You will track the landed cost of stone and the fabrication labor of steel entries to ensure every project hits its margin target.
• Cash Flow Optimization: Manage the "cash gap" inherent in custom manufacturing. You will oversee deposits, progress billings, and vendor payments to ensure liquidity for global material sourcing.
• Inventory Control: Perform quarterly audits of raw stone slabs and steel components to ensure the balance sheet reflects physical reality.
• Liaison to Ownership: Act as a right hand to the SPME, providing weekly "Flash Reports" on sales vs. expenses rather than just waiting for a month-end close.
• Process Improvement: Identify where the company is "leaking" money-whether in logistics, over-ordering, or labor inefficiencies-and implement controls to fix it.

• The "Construction Veteran": You understand that $1 in the bank isn't $1 in profit until the stone is installed and the client has signed off.
• Software Savvy: Highly proficient in QuickBooks Online, specifically using the "Classes" or "Projects" functions for deep-dive reporting.
• Scottsdale Local: You understand the local high-end market and the importance of maintaining professional relationships with elite builders and architects.

Compensation

Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000
