Security Technician – Job Summary
This role focuses on installing, servicing, and maintaining electronic security systems for commercial clients. The work is hands-on and field-based, making sure access control, video systems, and related equipment are set up correctly, operating smoothly, and supported with strong customer service.
Responsibilities
Install and service access control systems, cameras, door hardware, and low-voltage security equipment
Troubleshoot issues, diagnose root causes, and complete repairs on-site
Perform routine maintenance and system checks to ensure reliable operation
Keep clear documentation of work performed, system updates, and parts used
Maintain an organized work vehicle with proper tools and inventory
Communicate with customers professionally and walk them through system usage when needed
Follow all safety standards and jobsite guidelines
Requirements
Experience with electronic security, low-voltage systems, or similar technical fieldwork
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
Comfortable using tools, ladders, and test equipment
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
High school diploma or equivalent
Solid communication and customer service skills
Schedule & Typical Benefits
Full-time, generally Monday–Friday
