This position is located in the Special Security Operations Division, Office of Information Security, Senior Coordinator for Security Infrastructure, Bureau of Diplomatic Security.
In this position you will serve as a Security Specialist and are responsible for assisting with the implementation and oversight of plans, policies, and procedures necessary to safeguard intelligence information, including intelligence sources and methods, and SCI information.

PSCs do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year: renewable up to 4 years. Requirements: Qualifications:Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants applying for the GS-12 must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience conducting security surveys to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Experience developing processes or procedures on the safeguarding of sensitive materials.
- Experience providing guidance on the application of security policies and procedures as it relates to the safeguarding of sensitive materials.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
