Our Client, a Av Manufacturing company, is looking for a Security Special Events Manager for their Foster City, CA location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • The Security Special Events Manager (Contract) is responsible for the planning, coordination, and operational delivery of security support for company special events, executive engagements, and high-visibility activities across the organization.
  • This role serves as the primary security lead for special events while also functioning as a security operations coordinator supporting daily operational readiness, documentation, and program development within the Security Operations team.
  • This position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and well-coordinated events and activities, while also supporting the development of operational standards, procedures, and performance frameworks that strengthen the overall security program.
  • The role is dedicated to the Security Operations team.
Special Events Security Management:
  • Lead security planning, coordination, and execution for company special events, executive engagements, and high-visibility activities
  • Conduct security assessments and operational planning for events, including staffing models, access control procedures, credentialing, guest management, and incident response planning
  • Coordinate with internal partners to ensure seamless event execution, including logistics, transportation, parking, check-in processes, and guest flow management
  • Serve as the primary security point of contact for event stakeholders before, during, and after events
  • Develop standardized event security playbooks, templates, and operating procedures
Security Operations Coordination:
  • Support day-to-day operational coordination activities for the Security Operations team
  • Assist with development and maintenance of security operations documentation, procedures, and playbooks
  • Support operational planning, readiness activities, and cross-team coordination
  • Provide operational support to the Executive Protection program as needed for scheduling, coordination, and planning
  • Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and security partners to ensure consistent operational execution
Program Development & Documentation:
  • Support development of operational standards, service expectations, and performance frameworks for security operations
  • Assist the Security Operations Manager with documentation related to operational performance tracking, reporting structures, and service delivery models
  • Contribute to SOP development, after-action reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support training documentation and operational readiness materials for the Security Operations program
Vendor & Partner Coordination:
  • Coordinate daily operational activities with security service partners to ensure alignment with security operations objectives
  • Support quality assurance efforts through documentation, reporting, and operational feedback loops
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and operational alignment for security partners supporting events and operations
Administrative & Program Support:
  • Maintain organization and documentation across security operations platforms and tools
  • Support scheduling, calendar coordination, communications, and operational logistics
  • Maintain accurate records for events, operations, and security program activities
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in special events security, security operations, or corporate event management, including support of high-visibility or executive engagements
  • Experience in special events security planning, coordination, or operations
  • Experience supporting security operations programs or large-scale operational environments
  • Strong background in documentation, SOP development, and operational process design
  • Experience with cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement
  • Understanding of security operations best practices and standards
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and operational discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in special events security, security operations, or corporate event management, including support of high-visibility or executive engagements
  • Experience supporting executive engagements or executive protection operations
  • Experience with performance measurement frameworks and operational reporting
  • Experience in corporate security operations environments
  • Experience coordinating with external security service providers
  • Experience supporting high-visibility or high-risk events
