What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections-related location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, housing areas, access points, and perimeter zones, remaining prepared to work in varying conditions and environments.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access, contraband movement, and other policy violations.
• Maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with post orders, follow use of force and reporting guidelines, and support orderly operations during escorts, transports, counts, and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
