Hamilton R-II School District is seeking a dependable Seasonal Grounds Employee for the months of April through October.
This position is approximately 25 hours per week and is responsible for mowing and maintaining district grounds and the American Legion grounds (excluding playing fields). The District will provide all mowing equipment and fuel. This is an hourly paid position.
General Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid driver’s license
Ability to operate and maintain mowing and basic lawn care equipment
Basic knowledge of lawn and grounds maintenance practices
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional attitude
Typical Working Conditions:
Primarily outdoor work environment
Exposure to heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions
Regular lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, standing, and walking
Operation of motorized mowing equipment and related tools
Possible exposure to dust, grass clippings, and moderate equipment noise
