Position Summary:
The Grandstands Maintenance Team supports the upkeep, organization, and guest readiness of grandstand seating and public areas during live racing, simulcasting, and special events. This role helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests by monitoring seating areas, assisting with facility cleanliness, and supporting race-day operations.

Head of Maintenance
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of grandstand seating areas and surrounding public spaces.
- Collect rash, remove debris, and ensure waste receptacles are emptied regularly to prevent overflow.
- Monitor restrooms and facility areas, notifying maintenance when supplies such as soap, paper towels, or toilet paper are low or need replenishment.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns including clogged toilets, cleanliness issues, or other facility-related problems.
- Proactively maintain the overall cleanliness and presentation of the facility throughout race day.
- Monitor seating areas to ensure safe and orderly conditions for guests.
- Assist guests with locating seating areas and provide general directions within the facility.
- Support race-day setup and breakdown of seating areas or event-related equipment.
- Assist with crowd flow and provide general guest support during high-attendance events.
- Work collaboratively with operations, security, and guest services teams to support a positive guest experience. Follow all safety procedures and facility policies during event operations.
Qualities, Education and Experience:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience in facility maintenance, event operations, or guest services
- Experience working in entertainment venues, sports facilities, or large event environments
- Familiarity with racetrack operations or horse racing events
Licensing Status
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required licenses or credentials from the Wyoming Gaming Commission or other applicable regulatory authorities.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed primarily at the stable gate and barn entrance areas of the racetrack facility.
- Requires standing, walking, and monitoring gate activity for extended periods.
- Work is conducted outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Interaction with horses, trainers, haulers, and racing personnel is frequent.
- Schedule includes early mornings during training hours and race days, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays during the racing season.
- High level of vigilance required to ensure security and regulatory compliance in a busy racing environment.
