Seafood Processor

Job Description: Ocean Gold Seafoods, Inc. located at 1804 N. Nyhus St., Westport, WA 98595 is looking to fill 300, temporary, full time, Seafood Processor positions from 04/01/2026 to 10/31/2026. Phone: (360)268-2510.

Job responsibilities: Workers will process crab, multiple species of finfish, bottom fish and salmon. Work on the hand butcher line will involve use of hand and hand tools to perform routine cutting and trimming. Workers will wash, size, and grade seafood and then load processed seafood onto freezer baskets or cartons for shipping.

Employer is offering 35 hours/week, Mon-Sun 7:00am -7:00pm or 7:00pm – 7:00am at a rate of $18.02/hr. Days/Shifts will vary. Holidays, weekends, and evenings required as needed. Employer is offering up to 40 hours of overtime per week as needed, but not guaranteed. Overtime will be paid at a rate of $27.03/hr for working greater than 40 hours in any given week. Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage rate or bonus to any worker in their sole discretion based on skill, tenure, performance, or experience. Employer is offering paid on the job training. 

Job Requirements: No previous training, education, or experience required. Standing, Lifting 40 lbs regularly.

Transportation: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contractor where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for  worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. The employer will provide transportation to and from worksite at no cost to workers.

Tools, supplies and equipment: Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

Other Employment Guarantees: A single workweek will be used for computing wages due and workers will be paid every 2 weeks. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions, which are not required by law. If an employee chooses to live in optional employer housing $100/week will be payroll deducted for housing expenses. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees), incurred by the H-2B worker.

Housing: Optional employer housing is available at a cost of $100/week.
