Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate agile ceremonies: Lead daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring clear goals, actionable outcomes, and continuous improvement for the team.
- Jira and backlog management: Expertly manage work within Jira, including refining the backlog, planning sprints, and accounting for team capacity. You'll work to prevent excessive scope creep and ensure committed sprint work is on track for completion.
- User story excellence: Ensure user stories and tasks are clearly written and understood by both customers and the technical team, complete with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Foster collaboration and communication: Champion a collaborative environment by facilitating regular team meetings and ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives), as well as ad-hoc discussions. You'll leverage productivity tools like Jira and Confluence to enhance communication.
- Manage team calendar and coordination: Oversee the team's calendar, scheduling necessary meetings with key points of contact, the technical team, customers, or other agency personnel as needed.
- Maintain project awareness: Remain current on all aspects of the project, understanding dependencies, risks, and overall progress
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
- Education Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required
- Level of Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of experience as Scrum Master
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
- Experience as Scrum Master and with agile ceremonies
- Experience with Jira
- Excellent communications skills

Additional Qualifying Factors
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
