Position summary
The Scientist I / Scientist II (“Scientist I/II”) is a highly motivated in vivo pharmacologist that contributes to multiple active research programs and is a valuable member of a collaborative team. The Scientist I/II participates in in developing and implementing pharmacology and pharmacokinetic in vivo study designs.  The Scientist I/II will monitor and troubleshoot in vivo studies to support lead compound identification of multiple active projects. The Scientist I/II will analyze and QC the analysis and interpretation of data and present results in in vivo and cross-functional team meetings. This individual is able to adopt and learn new methodologies and processes quickly to be able to operate independently as well as in coordination with other members of the team.

Essential job functions and duties
  • Major focus in contributions to planning, execution, QC, data analysis, management and reporting of rodent in vivo pharmacology studies to demonstrate translational biodistribution and efficacy in oncology
  • Independently analyze, interpret and present data using graphing and analysis software programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present summaries of research results to team members or to a multi-disciplinary team of researchers
  • Experience managing external studies at, and collaborating with, Contract Research Organizations is preferred
  • Support a multi-disciplinary team developing in vivo team timelines
  • Participate and aid in execution of in vivo team goals
  • Experience in nuclear medicine and/or targeted radionuclide therapy including radiochemistry, dosimetry, and imaging is highly preferred
  • Maintain electronic lab notebooks, databases, and any other required recordkeeping
  • Maintain a work environment focused on scientific integrity and quality.
  • Perform other duties as required by business needs.
Minimum required qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree in biology or a related scientific discipline or M.Sc. or Bachelors with comparable experience.
  • Relevant hands-on laboratory experience, with rodent tumor models/cancer pharmacology, and preferably in an industry setting.
  • Experience with software programs such as GraphPad Prism, Excel, and PowerPoint is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Desire and ability to expand knowledge and skills in a broad range of techniques.
  • Maintain a work environment focused on scientific integrity and quality
Non-standard work schedule, travel or environmental requirements
Position is 100% on-site; occasional weekend work hours may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $124,200 to $146,750 and dependent on the level of position hired. Radionetics evaluates a variety of factors in determining individual pay decisions, which may include relevant education, experience and skills; internal equity; complexity and responsibility of the role; and market demand relative to the position. Geographic location may also be a consideration in evaluating salary when candidates work in states outside of California.
