What We're Looking For
- B.S./B.A. or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, or related field as appropriate for the role.
- Current South Carolina state licensure or eligibility, and any required school certification in good standing.
- Experience in school-based settings preferred. Experience with building-based caseloads, IEP development, and progress monitoring is preferred.
- Ability to follow a supervising CCC-SLP treatment plan and to participate in IEP and case management meetings under supervision when applicable.
- Strong documentation skills, including objective data collection and treatment note entry.
- Clearances and background checks as required by district and state regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- B.S./B.A. in Communication Sciences/Disorders or related degree required for SLPA role. Master's degree required if applying for an SLP position listed in other materials.
- Appropriate state licensure or school credentials in South Carolina or eligibility to obtain them.
- Experience in K–12 school settings preferred but not required for SLPA candidates.
- Ability to work under the supervision of a CCC-SLP, attend IEP meetings, and follow treatment plans.
- Basic proficiency with school documentation systems, progress reporting, and data collection methods.
- Client-specific requirement: willingness to work a traditional K–12 building-based schedule for the 2026–2027 school year.

- Floating: May be required to cover multiple school buildings within the district as needed.
What You'll Do
- Provide therapy aligned with a supervising CCC-SLP's treatment plan to qualifying students across elementary, middle, or high school as assigned.
- Prepare materials, manage a therapy workspace, and implement age-appropriate interventions.
- Attend IEP and case management meetings under supervision and assist with printing and distribution of reports.
- Record accurate objective data and subjective treatment notes, and maintain compliant documentation according to district and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
Preferred
- Prior experience as an SLPA in schools, or prior clinical experience with pediatric or school-aged populations.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) for supervising clinicians.
- Comfort with varied caseloads and multitiered systems of support (MTSS) frameworks.
