Polyventive, LLC / Trichromatic West, Inc
Calhoun, GA
Join us to turn ideas into plant-ready products
At Polyventive, we create solutions that perform—from HI&I cleaners to coatings, textiles, adhesives, and O&G applications. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between discovery and manufacturing, reconstructing and deconstructing formulas, planning new product formulations, and guiding them into production.
How you’ll contribute
Imagine you’ve just identified a promising surfactant blend from your literature review. You validate it on the bench, confirm performance via FTIR, GCMS, and HPLC, then lead the pilot run and coordinate with operations to deliver a successful plant scale-up. Along the way, you document results, support cross-functional discussions, and help teammates troubleshoot.
- Conduct syntheses and analyses for both routine and developmental products with direction from the Technical Director, commercial stakeholders, and SLT.
- Drive new product development through research and literature mining; contribute as both an independent scientist and a collaborative teammate.
- Own the path from lab to plant: prepare pilot batches, manage full scale-up, and grow toward technical leadership within the group.
- Provide technical and plant support as needs arise.
- Lead and participate in meetings for new product introductions and MOC’s.
- Maintain a safe, orderly laboratory environment.
- Direct R&D and QC technicians; prepare clear, pertinent technical documentation.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and training.
- 3+ years in surfactant and polymer synthesis/formulation/structure–activity across at least two areas: textiles, HI&I, O&G, adhesives, or coatings.
- 3+ years of hands-on use of FTIR, GCMS, HPLC.
- Strong computer skills, plus excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Grow your influence
From your first project, you’ll be encouraged to take full ownership—managing scope, timelines, and scale-up steps—while building toward recognized technical leadership.

Work and travel throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity, and wear personal protective equipment, as required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor and fumes in the normal course of production. The Company has been and is committed to eliminating these conditions to the extent possible through the application of design engineering. The Company also provides a variety of safety equipment to keep all associates safe and within OSHA standards. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
