About the Job:

- REPORTS TO: Controller
- JOB TYPE: Full-time, Non-Exempt
- LOCATION: 50 Portland Ave. Rochester, NY 14605
- HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- COMPENSATION: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Scale Operator position is to accurately record weights and measures of inbound/outbound truck/carloads. Record peddler credentials and process and validate payout transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner, providing quality customer service.
- Provide metal recycling information to customers.
- Transaction computer entries.
- Prepare daily/weekly ATM and cash reports.
- Balance and handle cash drawer as needed.
- Prepares customer BOLs.
- Assist with inventory and production entries.
- Other projects as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer competency.
- Weights and measures background is a plus.
- Bookkeeping skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Professional conduct.
- Multi-tasker.
- One year of experience in a similar position is a plus.
