Our client, a dynamic player in the oil and gas sector within the Appalachian Basin, is looking for a dedicated professional to oversee their real-time data systems essential for operational efficiency and safety. In this pivotal role, you will act as the cornerstone for ensuring the reliability and security of the real-time operational systems that support critical assets. Beyond just system upkeep, you'll ensure steady operational performance, mitigate risks, and empower leadership and field personnel through accurate, real-time data access. You will lead advanced troubleshooting, spearhead technological advancements, and ensure alignment with cutting-edge business and cybersecurity standards in a hybrid setup, based in Morgantown, WV, with three days onsite and occasional field visits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own the SCADA systems environment, balancing proactive issue resolution with strategic enhancements.
- Ensure constant system uptime for field operations by actively monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure.
- Lead in diagnosing and resolving intricate issues related to hardware, software, and communication pathways.
- Safeguard the integrity of operational data for both production and safety decision-making processes.
- Drive system upgrades and security enhancements while adhering to change management protocols.
- Manage communication channels between field devices and centralized monitoring systems.
- Facilitate the integration of new assets and expansion endeavors to maintain seamless operations.
- Advocate for cybersecurity best practices and regulate access controls across infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute system improvements that align with organizational standards.
- Maintain and update comprehensive system documentation and assist in audits with detailed records.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical domains such as Computer Science or Information Systems.
- Over 5 years of experience with enterprise-level systems, ideally in the energy or related sectors.
- Expertise in SCADA systems and real-time monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with industrial communication methods like Modbus, DNP3, and telemetry solutions.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity practices pertinent to operational technology.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical information effectively.
- Willingness to engage in both office and field environments, supporting a 24/7 operational framework.
