Compensation rates and salary ranges are determined based on multiple factors, including qualifications, relevant experience, and geographic location.
This position is located in Dallas, TX and follows a hybrid work model with three in-office days per week.
SAP SCM Lead/SME will serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, leading SAP ECC solution design, validation, and delivery. The role requires deep functional expertise, strong business process analysis skills, and the ability to drive consensus through structured workshops and design validation sessions while managing stringent timelines.
SAP SCM Functional Leadership
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for SAP ECC Supply Chain Management, covering:
- Configure and customize SAP modules related to Supply Chain Management, including but not limited to MM (Materials Management), IM (Inventory Management), Quality Management (QM) and WM (Warehouse Management)
- Comprehensive understanding of SAP Supply Chain Management processes, including Purchasing/Procurement Process, Vendor Master and Material Master Data, Invoice Verification, Valuation of Materials, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Goods Movements, Physical Inventory, Stock Visibility, Batch Management, Warehouse Organization Structure, Picking and Packing, Warehouse Control, Transfer Requirement and Transfer Order.
- Comprehensive understanding of SAP's logistics and transportation management solutions. This includes planning, executing, and monitoring logistics processes such as transportation planning, freight management, and warehouse operations. The consultant is responsible for analyzing business and customer requirements, designing and configuring SAP TM solutions, and ensuring successful delivery of SAP TM projects. They also provide ongoing support, training, and documentation for end-users, and stay updated on SAP TM advancements and best practices.
- Lead end-to-end SCM solution design, configuration, and functional validation in ECC environments
- Experienced in and Ability to map business processes from non-SAP ERPs SAP ECC.
- Experienced in harmonizing business processes for non-SAP entities while migrating to SAP ECC
- Experience in Oil & Gas domain
- Experience in data migration & design
- Plan and conduct business requirement workshops, process walkthroughs, and design validation sessions
- Facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to align business needs with SAP capabilities
- Present solution options, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders
- Perform current-state (AS-IS) and future-state (TO-BE) business process analysis
- Identify opportunities for process streamlining, standardization, and efficiency improvements
- Align SAP ECC configurations with optimized business processes and control requirements
- Serve as a primary interface between business users, IT teams, and external partners
- Manage expectations and resolve conflicts through strong communication and negotiation skills
- Provide clear, concise documentation and status updates to stakeholders at all levels
- Work effectively under stringent timelines in complex, multi-stream project environments
- Support project planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation from a functional perspective
- Ensure timely completion of design, configuration, testing, and go-live support activities
Functional Expertise
- 10–15 years of SAP SCM experience on SAP ECC
- Strong hands-on configuration and troubleshooting skills in SCM process area
- Proven experience in integrated SCM and cross-module dependencies, preferably in Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience supporting template rollouts
- Strong business process analysis and optimization capabilities
- Ability to bridge business requirements with SAP technical solutions
- Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments is highly desirable
