We’re looking for a hands-on Sanitation Supervisor to lead daily sanitation operations in a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures the plant is cleaned safely, thoroughly, and on schedule — while meeting all food safety, regulatory, and company standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support the sanitation team to complete daily and scheduled cleaning activities

  • Manage and track the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)

  • Ensure all sanitation work follows OSHA, FDA, and company safety policies

  • Oversee sanitation equipment, inspections, and repairs

  • Schedule staff and assign work to ensure all sanitation tasks are completed on time

  • Train employees on proper cleaning methods, chemical use, and safety procedures

  • Maintain sanitation records, training logs, and required documentation

  • Monitor pest control documentation and program compliance

  • Investigate sanitation or environmental issues, identify root causes, and help implement corrective actions

  • Communicate sanitation issues and findings with Operations, QA, Maintenance, and Safety teams

  • Represent Sanitation during audits, meetings, and safety reviews

  • Support the Sanitation Manager with tracking labor, overtime, chemical usage, and improvement opportunities

  • Look for ways to improve sanitation processes, safety, and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment

  • 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience

  • Working knowledge of food safety, FDA, OSHA, and GFSI standards

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Comfortable using computers for documentation and reporting

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field

  • Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, AIB, or similar
