Sanitation/Maintenance Assistant - Overnight

Sanitation and Maintenance assistant to work overnight to assist in overseeing the Sanitation Team and CFD personnel to ensure the timely handover of the facility to Production for daily production start-up activities.                                                                                                             

·        Ensure proper equipment sanitation and efficient start-ups and shutdowns, through an understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment /parts design.

·        Monitor and enforce compliance to safety program including lock out/tag out, chemical safety, chemical SDS, continually monitor department adherence to required PPEs.

·        Inspect facility and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards; document and report no-conformities to QC/Maintenance.

·        Prepare and handle CIP chemicals and equipment.

·        Ensure that all areas of the plant are properly sanitized and in good repair.

·        Participate actively, in food safety and plant audits and third-party audits.

·        Lubricate machinery according to maintenance schedule provided to ensure timely start-up.

·        Provide pest control support, working with pest control provider to ensure that corrective actions are closed out in a timely manner.

·        Monitor boiler operation and perform minor repairs
