Salon Operator

A Salon Operator (or Cosmetology Operator is a licensed professional responsible for providing hair, skin, and nail services while maintaining high sanitation standards and delivering excellent customer service.  Key duties include cutting, coloring, styling, consulting with clients on beauty needs, and recommending retail products.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Services: Perform hair cutting, coloring, styling, and chemical treatments (e.g. relaxers, perms).

Client Consultation: Analyze hair/skin type to recommend appropriate services and products.

Salon Sanitation: Maintain tolls and work areas according to state board health and safety standards.

Client Experience: Greet clients, manage bookings, and ensure a welcoming, professional atmosphere.

Administration: Manage appointment schedules and maintain client records.

Licensure: Valid state cosmetology or operator license is required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern cutting and coloring techniques.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build a loyal client base.
