Description:

We are searching for a highly motivated Sales Representative to join one of our top manufacturing clients specializing in custom industrial packaging and logistics solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity in a niche, high-demand sector with a client that serves demanding clientele, including manufacturers, military contractors, and consumer products companies.

This role requires an individual who is willing to invest time in learning products and processes. While a variety of backgrounds will be considered, the ideal candidate will have the drive to cultivate long-term customer relationships and execute strategic territory expansion.

Sales & Account Management

  • Territory Focus: Manage and grow the existing customer base within Connecticut and Westchester County, NY.
  • Expansion: Spearhead new business development efforts to establish a foothold in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Jersey.
  • Product Expertise: Effectively sell a range of custom solutions, including wood crates, corrugated boxes, and various packaging materials.
  • Target Market Penetration: Strategically pursue clients across our key sectors: manufacturing, military contracting, and consumer products.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers and purchasing managers at client and prospect companies.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct client needs assessments to provide tailored and cost-effective packaging solutions.

Training & Professional Growth

  • Actively participate in comprehensive training programs focused on product specifications, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
  • Commit to continuous self-improvement and learning to become a subject matter expert in packaging and logistics.

Qualifications

  • Sales Aptitude: Demonstrated hunger, motivation, and ability to sell, prospect, and close new business opportunities.
  • Adaptability: Openness to a variety of backgrounds, with a strong willingness to learn the intricacies of custom packaging and industrial sales.
  • Time Investment: Ready to commit the necessary time and effort to master the product line and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel and work with clientele throughout the assigned territories (CT, Westchester and later expansion to MA, RI, NJ).
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems).
