The Luxury & Resorts Sales Performance Analyst is a highly analytical, commercially minded professional who partners closely with the Luxury & Resorts leadership team to help drive sales, profitability, and commercial excellence.Blending data fluency with a strong sales mindset, this position supports leadership not only by analyzing performance, but by identifying opportunities, flagging risks early, and recommending actions that improve results. It approaches the business holistically evaluating trade-offs across categories, initiatives, inventory, experiences, and destinations to optimize total Luxury & Resorts performance rather than isolated category outcomes.

 

Serving as a forward-looking performance and planning partner, the position leverages cruise line–provided data to anticipate shifts in guest mix, deployment, and sailing characteristics. Through structured, recurring analysis, it helps inform proactive assortment, inventory, and selling strategies that support stronger commercial outcomes and enhanced partner alignment.

 

This position plays a critical role in driving assortment optimization, margin discipline, inventory health, test-and-learn execution, guest-centric insights, destination performance analysis, and performance reporting across Luxury & Resorts businesses.

What you’ll be doing:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Business Performance & Opportunity Analysis:

  • Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and category performance across Luxury & Resorts portfolios to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations related to assortment, pricing, promotional strategy, and category mix
  • Evaluate performance by cruise line, ship, voyage, resort, category, brand, and initiative
  • Analyze the mix of business across luxury cruise and resort partners to support the introduction of categories, brands, and products that improve overall profitability, balancing guest demand for high-value offerings with margin, turn, and total business performance
  • Evaluate performance with an enterprise lens, considering how decisions in one category, destination, or initiative impact overall sales, margin, inventory health, and guest experience across the business

Forward-Looking Performance & Planning:

  • Gather and synthesize cruise line–provided inputs, including deployment schedules, occupancy reports, nationality and age breakdowns, dry docks, and repositioning voyages
  • Analyze how guest composition, sailing characteristics, and operating variables impact sales performance, category mix, and inventory productivity, with clear insights and recommended corrective or optimization actions
  • Conduct recurring, forward-looking analysis (quarterly) across key commercial and operating drivers, including:
  • Sea days versus port days
  • Operating hours
  • VAT vs. non-VAT voyages
  • Chartered voyages
  • Seasonality impacts
  • Translate forward-looking insights into recommendations that inform assortment depth, inventory positioning, promotional focus, and selling strategies for upcoming sailings

High-Value Category Optimization:

  • Serve as a key analytical and performance partner for high-value categories, supporting decisions around appropriate product quantities and depth
  • Partner withMP&D (Merchandising, Planning & Distribution) and the Luxury Head of Merchandising to ensure inventory levels align with demand, ship and resort profiles, and guest behavior
  • Analyze sales performance versus assortment mix to identify opportunities to refine breadth, depth, and product composition
  • Support optimization of high-value categories to maximize sales performance, guest satisfaction, and overall business contribution

Destination Performance & Opportunity Insights:

  • Analyze destination-level performance across the luxury cruise portfolio, including a broad range of ports of call
  • Identify where destination retail and experiences are performing well and where gaps or missed opportunities exist
  • Partner with MP&D and Luxury & Resorts leadership to support data-driven decisions on destination-led assortment, product development, and experience concepts
  • Track performance of destination initiatives over time to inform refinement, expansion, or exit decisions

Guest, Occupancy & Market Insights:

  • Analyze ship and resort occupancy levels and guest nationality mix across international environments
  • Assess how guest composition impacts buying behavior, preferences, and engagement
  • Provide recommendations to tailor assortment, destination offerings, and experiences to better serve multi-national guest profiles, driving sales performance and guest satisfaction

Sales-Driven Insights & Activation:

  • Support the design, tracking, and evaluation of contests, incentives, and promotional programs to drive conversion, average transaction value, and total sales
  • Measure promotional effectiveness and recommend refinements based on performance data
  • Apply a sales-floor mindset to analytics, connecting data to guest behavior and frontline execution

Margin Stewardship & Profitability Oversight:

  • Monitor actual vs. budgeted margins across Luxury & Resorts categories
  • Identify margin risks and opportunities and partner withMP&D, Finance, and Operations to course-correct
  • Support pricing, cost, and vendor-term analysis to protect and enhance profitability

Inventory Health, Turns & Availability:

  • Maintain primary visibility into inventory aging, turns, and sell-through across all categories
  • Partner withMP&D, Finance, and Luxury & Resorts leadership to develop strategies for sell-down, rebalancing, transfer, return, or exit of aged inventory
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Out-of-Stock risks, ensuring timely replenishment to protect sales and optimize availability

Operational Efficiency & Execution Optimization

  • Identify inefficiencies impacting sales, margin, or inventory productivity and recommend data-driven solutions
  • Partner cross-functionally withMP&D, Finance, Sales, and operational stakeholders to improve replenishment accuracy, inventory flow, and execution consistency
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across Luxury & Resorts

Test, KPI & Performance Framework Development:

  • Help define success criteria, test KPIs, and performance parameters for new brands, assortments, promotions, destination initiatives, experiences, and other programs
  • Evaluate projected and actual ROI for new initiatives and tests to inform go / grow / refine decisions
  • Track performance and ensure learnings are captured and applied to future launches

Partner Reporting & Business Reviews

  • Support the analysis, preparation, and presentation of performance insights for quarterly and annual business reviews with luxury cruise and resort partners
  • Contribute to category, destination, experience, and initiative-level reporting across all areas of the business
  • Serve as the primary data point of contact for partners on business performance, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity of insights
  • Ensure partner-facing materials align with internal performance assessments and agreed KPIs

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership:

  • Act as a trusted analytical partner to the Luxury & Resorts leadership team
  • Prepare concise, executive-ready insights and performance summaries
  • Collaborate closely withMP&D, Finance, Sales, and operational stakeholders to ensure alignment from planning through execution
  • Advise Luxury & Resorts leadership through data-driven insights and recommendations to support efficient, profitable, and sustainable business growth

What we’re looking for:

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in analytics, merchandising, planning, finance, or sales-support roles
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills; experience with reporting and dashboards a plus
  • Experience translating data into actionable business insights
  • Retail, luxury, hospitality, travel, or international consumer business experience preferred

Other:Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkSome flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Demands:Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
